ATC SCM50
The SCM50 ASL (active) and SCM50 SL (passive) loudspeakers are specifically designed to deliver exceptional performance in both recording studios and home environments when paired with high-quality hi-fi equipment.
The outstanding ability of these monitors to accurately reproduce music and speech with remarkable precision, transparency, and dynamics can be attributed primarily to the SM75-150S soft dome midrange driver. Recent enhancements, including the incorporation of the new ATC SH25-76S tweeter and improved port profile, have further elevated the overall performance of these speakers across all aspects.
In the active model, each drive unit is powered by its own dedicated and individually matched MOS-FET amplifier. The 234mm/9" bass driver incorporates ATC's innovative Super Linear Magnet technology. The active crossover network features a wide bandwidth and electronically balanced input stage with high common mode rejection and exceptionally low distortion.
All the electronics, just like the HF, mid, and bass drivers, are meticulously designed and manufactured in-house, ensuring a no-compromise active system. In passive form, the SCM50 SL exhibits wide and symmetrical dispersion, delivering excellent amplitude and phase characteristics across the entire frequency range.
The speakers come with stands and fabric-wrapped grills for added convenience and aesthetic appeal.
These loudspeakers are available in various finishes. Standard options include Cherry, Walnut, Oak, and Black Ash veneers, as well as Satin Black and Satin White paints. Premium veneers, such as Rosewood, European Crown Cut Walnut, Burr Walnut, Pippy Oak, Burr Magnolia, and Burr Poplar, are also available for an additional cost. Additionally, high-gloss finishes such as Clear High Glossed Veneer, Piano Black, and Piano White can be chosen for an extra charge.
